Tung Shuen Ee · Russell Kaiyi Siew

Q: Which country do you represent?
A: So hi I’m Russell and then this is Tang Xuan, we’re both from the Singapore Contract Bridge Team, I part Singapore Team 1 and the Singapore Team 2.

Q: So what are your impressions of this championship?
A: My impressions of the championship is that the host is great, we had an amazing time at the opening ceremony, where we were welcomed by the lovely guests and officials, and we also actually went for the run also the Glow Night Run, and we’re really touched by the hospitality of the launching people here.

Q: So I wonder how do you manage to balance your academic coursework and competition training?
A: I think by balancing our school life social life and our bridge life, requires a lot of time management and pre planning, so for on weekends and on Friday nights, I commit to bridge whereas on other days, I focus on my school work, so I separate my school life and my bridge life, onto different days that I can give my commitment to.

Q: What is like to represent your country as a university student athlete?
A: I think for myself this is still very unbelievable, I think it’s a huge honor to represent my country, and all of us are trying our best to show off Singapore, and that we’re a strong team.
